Robert once built a life through hard work and determination.
He owned a mini shop, managed a delivery company, and created employment for three people. His business was growing, and like many parents, he looked forward to providing a better future for his family.
Then depression quietly began to change everything.
As his mental health declined, Robert struggled to keep his business running. The life he had worked so hard to build slowly unraveled. He lost his livelihood, his home, and eventually his family was torn apart. His wife left with their child, leaving behind a father whose greatest pain was not the loss of his business, but the absence of the child he loves.
Overwhelmed by circumstances and without the support he needed, Robert found himself living on the streets.
Today, a new chapter has begun.
Through the outreach work of Face of Streetkids Society, Robert has been rescued and has chosen to begin the journey toward healing and recovery. With rehabilitation, counseling, and ongoing support, he is taking the first steps toward rebuilding his life and restoring his dignity.
Robert’s story reminds us that depression is a serious mental health challenge, not a sign of weakness. With compassion, timely intervention, and the right support, recovery is possible.
As Robert works toward rebuilding his future, he carries one hope above all others: the chance to one day embrace his child again.
