Ken Isaiah Moseti: From Representing Kenya to Rebuilding His Life

Ken Isaiah Moseti once proudly represented Kenya on some of rugby’s biggest stages.

He made his debut for the Kenya Sevens team at the 2011 Dubai Sevens before going on to represent the Kenya Simbas in 2014. During his seven years with KCB Rugby Club, he played an important role in helping the team secure three consecutive Kenya Cup titles. Respected by teammates and supporters alike, Ken built a career defined by dedication, discipline, and leadership.

Then life took an unexpected turn.

The cheers faded, opportunities became fewer, and the future he had worked so hard to build gradually slipped away. Over time, Ken found himself living on the streets of Nairobi, where he spent the last five years facing homelessness, hunger, and the daily struggle to survive.

Behind every person experiencing homelessness is a story that is often unseen. Ken’s journey reminds us that difficult circumstances can affect anyone, regardless of their background or achievements.

Today, a new chapter has begun.

Through the Face of Streetkids Society outreach program, Ken has been rescued and admitted into rehabilitation. For the first time in years, he has a safe place to stay, access to care, and the support needed to begin rebuilding his life.

Recovery is a journey that requires patience, compassion, and consistent support. As Ken continues through rehabilitation, he will receive counseling, medical care, nutritious meals, clothing, and guidance as he works toward restoring his health, confidence, and independence.

His story is also a reminder that many others remain on the streets waiting for the same opportunity. Every act of kindness helps extend hope to individuals who deserve the chance to begin again.
