Just a few days ago, Geoffrey believed he had reached the end of the road.
Unable to continue his education because his mother could no longer afford both school fees and basic household needs, he made the heartbreaking decision to leave home. With nowhere else to turn, the streets seemed like his only option.
When the Face of Streetkids Society team met Geoffrey, they saw more than a child in difficult circumstances. They saw a young person whose dreams were still worth fighting for.
Over the following days, Geoffrey received mentorship, encouragement, and the reassurance that his situation did not have to define his future. As conversations continued, something began to change. The hopelessness that had led him to the streets was slowly replaced with renewed confidence and a belief that a different future was still possible.
Today, Geoffrey is ready to return to school and continue his education.
His story is a powerful reminder that timely support can change the course of a child’s life. Sometimes all it takes is someone willing to listen, believe in them, and help them see possibilities beyond their current circumstances.
